    From what I know of cameras and I've used point and shoot off the shelf to 35 mm SLR to medium format style cameras in this particular camera from what I have seen from everything so far having the Glass lens is the best part of it I think that AAA battery is stupid I think they should have used more standard AA battery the long exposure option that exists using a shutter release it's a great idea for people who have never done double exposure or long night photographing did the price point I just saw somewhere was like 60 something dollars does the starter camera for somebody like film-wise this has a lot of mini features but you can't even get in other cameras like long exposure I know you have to have a shutter release for it but there's a lot of cameras that don't even have that I recommend a tripod for long exposure so I would recommend this camera for people getting interested and definitely show them how to do multiple exposure and it's a trial and error in order to figure out how to do the multiple exposure correctly the camera I had that did that with a Nikon FM 10 yeah to do a little trick with it in order to not advance the film but make the camera think you advanced it and then I can do a double exposure on a 35mm standard size shot put that camera is like above $200 so to get a inexpensive camera like this for I believe under $70 for just learning double exposure and stuff like that is great there is another way you can do double exposure you take the two film cells after it's been developed layer one on top of the other and then develop the image I think some people call that sandwiching the shot or the image or the photograph that case you can experiment a lot more because you have two original shots to find out what does better so that's more fun in a dark room

    • @Bonsees
      @Bonsees 21 день тому

      I would say yes. Sometimes it might be bright enough that you can get away without it. You can check by getting a light meter app with settings set to aperture 11 and ISO 800. If the shutter speed shows lower than 120, then it’ll be underexposed so shoot with flash

    • @Bonsees

      That’s ok. Depending on how much of the film was exposed to light while you were loading it, the photos before 1 can still show but they might have light leaks or those “first of the roll” effect where half of the photo is blank.

      No, I usually get my photo lab to scan them for me. If I scan at home, I use a Plustek 8300i (I made a video about it). I prefer not to use the phone because of the image quality not being as good as a proper scanner but Lomography sells some tools for phone scanning if you wanna check it out

    hi so i’m not sure if my camera is broken but i tried to put the film onto the spool and kept turning the wheel i closed the door of the back of the camera and it didn’t lock at all it just keep allowing me to wind it so i’m confused as to what i’m doing wrong and also when i wind it the thing on the top doesn’t turn around either

    • @Bonsees
      @Bonsees Місяць тому

      This sounds like the film isn’t latching to the take up spool. Try to make sure the spokes on the gear ⚙️ and the film take up spool are hooking onto the sprocket holes so when you move the film advance wheel, it drags the film with it before you close the camera

    Im very split between the 35N and Lomography´s Lomo apparat, so i would be very thankful if someone could answer my question. Is the plastic Lomo apparat lense much worse than the 35N´s glass lense? Do the creative tools on the Lomo apparat make up for the price difference in your opinion? Price aside, which one of these would you personally choose? Thank you for the help :)

    • @Bonsees
      @Bonsees Місяць тому

      I have both and I like both~ Some things to consider: The H35N does have a glass lens but it’s a half-frame camera so it has less resolution than full-frame The lomo apparat is full-frame so it balances out the lens quality with resolution. In short, their picture quality is on par with each other. They both have similar focal length (21mm and 22mm) but the apparat is full-frame so it is truly 21mm and very wide. I think the H35N is closer to 33mm (less wide) The creative tools on the lomo apparat are more accesible, i.e., there are buttons and switches that let you access them, where as some of the creative modes on the H35N are sort of hidden (like the multiple exposure mode is only accessible while using a shutter cable for bulb mode) Maybe it’s just my indecision but it’s kinda hard to choose one over the other as they are different enough (like if I wanna do diptychs I’ll use the H35N but if I wanna do multiple exposures in broad daylight, I’ll use the apparat) Anyways, I think you should think about what you really want: easy creative modes (especially multiple exposures) -> apparat, half-frames with creative options -> H35N
